¢Ù On July 1, 1987,
the foundation laying ceremony of the Museum was held;
¢Ú On Apr. 1, 1988, the Museum
was open to the public for the first time;
¢Û On Apr. 1, 1989, the Museum
was completed and totally open to the public;
¢Ü In 1988, Mr. Wu Xueqian, the
former Vice-Premier of the State Council, paid a visit
to the Kite Museum;
¢Ý In 1989, Mr. Sihanouk, the
King of Cambodia, paid a visit to the Kite Museum with
his wife. Mr. Sihanouk, the first head of state who came
to the Museum, spoke highly of the Museum and presented
gift to the Museum as keepsake;
¢Þ In 2000, Weifang Municipal
Government provided five million yuan for the decoration
of the Museum;
¢ß In 2000, Weifang Municipal
Government provided five million yuan for the cinepanoramic
cinema in the Museum;
