Hotels for Pooches
I know a lot of people love their dogs a lot, but some guys really do take it way too far. They spend thousands of pounds having them groomed every week, buy them trendy outfits for every occasion and some even feed them expensive steaks. I mean, let’s be honest, some pet pooches live even better than I do!
Owners get so attached to their dogs that they really can’t bear to leave them behind when they go away on holiday, even for just a couple of days. While most of us ordinary folk would just call up the nearest kennel and make sure the people running it didn’t look like they were going to kidnap our prize pooch, some people check their pets into a doggy hotel. I’m serious. There are actual luxury doggy hotels out there, complete with maid service, living room furniture and all the doggy treats they can eat, After all, poor Rover is probably so traumatised that Mummy and Daddy have left them behind…
Wake up, people! These are dogs. They will love anyone who pets or feeds them and they certainly don’t need five star luxury. I guess we should just be relieved that dogs can’t get spoiled like kids do. Imagine if you had to go through life avoiding whining kids and whining dogs wherever you went, then you’d never get a moment’s peace.
I love my dog, Cookie, a lot. But when it’s time for me to head off on holiday, I’m afraid Cookie gets dumped in the nearest kennel without me even looking back. Maybe if she’s lucky she’ll get to stay with the neighbours, but Cookie is going to have to accept that she’s not the kind of pet who gets to stay in doggy luxury.
